A Destination Wedding, Cancun, Mexico
It is not often that you get the privilege of photographing one of your own families weddings. So I was rather excited when my niece, Ashley and her fiancee Kane asked me to photograph both their engagement and their destination wedding.
Their engagement shoot took place in Greenwich London. It had a more gritty urban feel about it. Both love The Walking Dead and have a love of horror and the more gothic. I took a couple of my sons Nerf Guns and we had a little fun. It always helps when your couple ooze sex appeal and have just the perfect connection.
Their wedding then took place in the lovely Moon Palace Resort in Cancun in Mexico. It was without doubt one of the loveliest locations to get married in. The Wedding Planners in the resort were truly lovely and made you feel special.
The day started with the usual bridal prep and silliness. Ashleigh wore a Morilee dress which I have to say was one of my favourite dresses to date with sweeping layers of ruffles. Complimented by a personal bouquet made by her parents and incorporating a jewelled skull at the base of the handle and one hidden in the centre of one of the flowers.
After a ceremony in a beach side gazebo, Ashleigh, her new husband Kane and I shot off on a golf buggy. It was kindly provided by the bellboys to some of the more tranquil and personal areas of the complex to get some gorgeous photos shown below. For two people who have never modelled or posed for photographs before they were just the perfect couple for a photographer. To say I was a little hot at the end of the day though, is an understatement.
